Our Senior Pastors

Pastors Steve and Pam Steinberg were Associate Pastors and administrators at Shiloh Christian Fellowship in Oakland, California, for 18 years. Their years at Shiloh, working with founding Pastor, Dr. Violet Kiteley and Senior Pastor David Kiteley, were a tremendous time of training and equipping. Steve and Pam are graduates of Shiloh Bible College in Oakland where they received their Bachelor of Theology Degree and Steve is also a graduate of Washington State University and Christian Life School of Theology, where he received his Master of Theology, Master of Divinity and his Doctor of Ministry degrees. Gifted in music, teaching, writing, and counseling, their heart’s desire is to see people gathered together to worship the Lordship of Jesus Christ. 

The Gathering Place Christian Center began as a seed planted by the Lord in 1992 when a prophetic word was spoken over Pastors Steve and Pam. It said, “Hearts of a shepherd … and you shall raise up a work … “ Soon after this word was given, the tug began in their hearts for Colorado and eventually for Colorado Springs. In June of 1994, The Gathering Place was sent out to begin this Great Adventure.

The Gathering Place Christian Center

We take great pleasure in welcoming you to The Gathering Place Christian Center, a warm, loving, and compassionate church. We strongly believe that we have been divinely commissioned to “gather together” both the “churched” and the “unchurched” in the greater Colorado Springs area. Our desire is to maintain the delicate balance between Spirit-led worship, and practical Bible teaching and preaching.

Whether you are a one-time visitor, or actually in search of a church home, we want you to know that our desire is to serve you, whether it be through our Pastoral, Christian Education, or Counseling Ministry.

The Gathering Place has been serving the community of Colorado Springs since July 1994. Our founders and Senior Pastors Steve and Pam Steinberg came to Colorado Springs to plant a church that has a vision to breakdown the ethnic and cultural barriers that have been so predominant in Colorado Springs. Pastors Floyd and Tomika Preston, originally from New Orleans, serve as Associate Pastors.

The Gathering Place is a multi-ethnic church with a vision of reaching out to our community in order to make a difference in the spiritual climate of our city. We minister to whomever the Lord sends our way, regardless of their economic, social or cultural status.  We consider those who come to The Gathering Place to be members of our family. 

The Gathering Place is a Chriistian, Bible believing, Worshiping church.  There is ongoing ministry to every age group.  For more information regarding the doctrinal beliefs of the fellowship, please review the tab entitled Doctrine.  The Apostolic Covering For The Gathering Place is provided by Apostle David Kiteley of Oakland, California and Prophet Michael Dalton of Southern California.  We hope to see you soon at The Gathering Place Christian Center.
