Cell Ministry

The Gathering Place has a small group ministry that offers the opportunity to be discipled and to disciple others. Ten powerful two-letter words that will change your life are “if it is to be, it is up to me!” You can be involved; you can make a difference; you can stand in the gap and you can fulfill the Great Commission! We have several specialized groups.

Adult Bible Study

This Bible Study meets at The Gathering Place Christian Center every Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. This is a time of Bible study, discussion and fellowship.

Married Couples' Ministry

There is a Couples' cell meeting on the second Friday of each month at Pastor Floyd & Tomika Preston’s home. They begin at 7 pm.  Call 598-8566

Women's Ministry

The Women's Bible Study meets every other Tuesday at 9:30am. They are studying Discerning the Voice of God: How to recognize when God speaks by Priscilla Shirer.  For more information, please call 481-4811.

"ZEAL" Youth Ministry

There is a youth meeting for 6th through 12th grade each Wednesday evening. They meet at The Gathering Place Christian Center from 7:00 to 8:30 pm. This is a time for our youth to encounter the Word of God, have a place to “hang out”, have accountability, fun, fellowship and refreshments with their peers. The Youth Pastors are Pastors Floyd & Tomika Preston.

Children's Wednesday Program

There is a Children’s program for preschool through 5th grade meeting at The Gathering Place Christian Center every Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.

Children's Sunday Ministry

The Children’s Ministry staff of The Gathering Place Christian Center is dedicated to raising up a generation of young people, who understand their place in the Body of Christ and the authority, which has been given to each of them through the redemptive work of the cross

We are dedicated to coming alongside of our parents to assist and support them in the spiritual nurturing of their children. We welcome you to The Gathering Place Children’s Ministry. Our desire is to serve you in whatever manner we can. Therefore, if you have any questions regarding this ministry, please contact Elder Debra Chiapetto. The ministry to our children is broken into three age groupings, as designated below.

Nursery Children’s Church (Birth thru 2 yr. olds)

This time with the youngest in our flock focuses each month on one aspect of the gospel message. The children are taught as our staff ministers to the physical needs of our babies. We share the love of Jesus with each child in a comfortable and secure setting.

Preschool Children’s Church (3 yr. old thru Kindergarten)

This class challenges the children to explore who they are in Christ and how they are to interact with the world in which they live. The use of both male and female teachers provides a better-balanced outlook on life for our young children. Group Publications Hands-on-Bible Curriculum to involve as many of our children’s senses as possible in each lesson.

Elementary Children’s Church (1st through 6th Graders)

Through the use of creative dramatics, puppets, live interviews with Bible characters, and clear concise Bible stories, these young people are establishing a strong foundation in the Word and a complete understanding of who God has created them to be. This three year course of study, using Faith Roots School of the Bible Curriculum, covers Genesis, the Patriarchs, the Kings, Major and Minor Prophets, the exile and return of Israel, the life and works of Jesus, the establishment of the New Testament Church and the lives and works of the disciples.
